Heavy Duty Truss Legs
The heavy duty truss legs are
the best solution to many larger canopy situations. They
adjust in the height for uneven terrain or when you need that
extra height. They stabilize the canopy better than any
wiring or cabling available today.
Steel cable has been used to anchor canopies for many years, and while
it is still a good alternative,
it is not the best. The truss leg
design was made to bear the loads that harsh winds can put on these huge
canopies. They are designed like a truss for a house, but are
turned vertically to absorb the constant pushing and rocking from the
wind.
The
truss leg is an independent piece of steel, so you still use
the standard straight post-leg like any other canopy.
The leg slides down into the truss leg and this is what makes
it adjustable. You just install self tapping screws
when the desired height is achieved. The truss design
is about 2 feet wide and faces away from the canopy.
The truss legs have two base plates welded to the bottom and
the base plates have a hole bored through for 30" rebar
to be driven into the ground.
